Alex Allmont

   

Alex Allmont's work meditates on complex systems through playful kinetic sculpture and sonic art forms that explore rhythmic structure.

His most recent piece Music of the Gears is exhibited at the Museum of the History of Science between 27th September and 2nd October as part of their Eccentricity exhibition.

During the final year of the MA he has focused on the development of pieces using LEGO as a material as a means of making the complex tangible.  This includes the LEGO Plaiting Machinewhich was also exhibited at the museum, and Missing Link which won an award from ResonanceFM as part of the Open exhibition at Raven Row.
